NIA's Blanchard Review

To shop on Blanchard's web site you need to click on either "Gold Bullion" or "Silver Bullion" on the left side of the page. For gold, Blanchard sells American Eagles (available in 1 oz), American Buffalo (available in 1 oz), South African Kruggerands (available in 1 oz), Canadian Maple Leafs (available in 1 oz), and British Sovereigns (available in 1/4 oz).

At the time of our review, Blanchard’s prices were $10.66 higher than Bullion Direct for a 1 oz American Eagle, $23.16 higher than Bullion Direct for a 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf, $23.80 higher than Gainesville Coins for a 1 oz South African Kruggerand, and $43.73 more than Kitco for a 1 oz gold bar. Blanchard’s prices for gold decline slightly when ordering in quantity.

For silver, Blanchard's prices were $0.36 higher than Lear Capital for a 1 oz American Eagle coin and $0.30 higher than Lear Capital for a 1 oz silver round.

Blanchard does not accept credit cards as payment for bullion orders. After you place an order online, a Blanchard Account Executive will contact you to confirm and complete your bullion order and arrange a payment method.

We experienced a web site outage with Blanchard on December 8th. We also experienced prices for their products rising once you reach the shopping cart to complete an order.

Our order from Blanchard arrived in 24 days (15 business days).

After our original review of Blanchard we received several major complaints from NIA members about the company, reporting terrible customer service and shipping experiences.
