Fast Coin is good for purchasing numismatic coins only. We found their web site to be difficult to navigate and very unorganized. On the left of the homepage is a list of categories ranging from civil war tokens - to cents, nickels and dimes - and finally silver eagles, gold buffalo and gold eagles. It's difficult to find any gold or silver coins that are priced close to the spot prices of gold and silver. At the time of our review update, Fast Coin's closest Gold American Eagle to the spot price of gold was a 2007 numismatic coin selling for $1,375 (gold’s spot price was approximately $1,250 on this day).

We found the order process to be very confusing. Instead of listing a price for shipping, it listed "Best Way to Ship - $0", but later included an additional add on fee of $37.17, which we assume was for shipping/processing, although the reason for the fee wasn't disclosed. There was no receipt to print after the order was submitted.

Our order from Fast Coin arrived in 13 days (8 business days including the Thanksgiving Holiday).
