Westminster Mint's home page is organized in a slightly confusing way. You can either choose from "gold coins" or "silver coins" from the center picture menu, or you can choose from several different types of silver and gold categories on the left side menu.
If you click on the "gold coins" center menu link, it takes you to a page displaying 14 products including a Pamp Gold Bar, Krugerrand, American Gold Eagle Bullion Coins, and Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin. Westminster Mint's selection is smaller than most other companies in our review.
Westminster Mint charges an extra 3% fee for credit card orders. They don't offer a choice of shipping options and only ship by first class mail. If the order is between $1 and $50, the shipping fee is $5.75.
At the time of our review update, Westminster Mint's prices were $94.44 higher than Bullion Direct for a one ounce American Eagle gold coin, $106.94 higher than Bullion Direct for a one ounce Canadian Maple Leaf gold coin, $107.58 higher than Gainesville coins for a one ounce South African Kruggerand, and $131.10 higher than Kitco for a one ounce gold bar.
For silver, Westminster Mint's prices were $0.74 higher than Lear Capital for a one ounce American Eagle silver coin and $0.32 higher than Gainesville Coins for a one ounce silver bar.
Our order from Westminster Mint arrived in just three business days, which is extremely good considering that we paid for only first class shipping.
