Minaurum Gold (TSXV: MGG): Best Portfolio of Projects
Minaurum Gold (TSXV: MGG) is spending 90% of its money on its flagship Alamos Silver Project, but if you look below at these seven non-core projects, any one of them has the potential to be good enough to build an entire company around.
When J David Lowell the most successful explorer of all-time began investing into MGG in December 2013, his investment was separate from his decision to option Santa Marta.
His investment was a bet on MGG's co-founders who discovered some of the largest mineral deposits in Mexico history for companies like Teck Resources (TECK) and MAG Silver (MAG) including Los Filos, which became one of Mexico's largest gold mines and the Juanicipio Silver Deposit, which is currently the #2 largest producing silver mine in Mexico.
J David Lowell also discovered major mineral deposits for TECK and watched TECK executives become wealthy off of his work. By investing into MGG he was providing an opportunity for MGG executives to become wealthy off of their own discoveries like the Alamos Silver Project.
Santa Marta was the MGG property that J David Lowell personally wanted to explore through Lowell Copper, but the copper market collapsed, and Lowell Copper needed to conserve its cash. To this day MGG hasn't yet drilled any holes at Santa Marta but it remains one of their most promising projects for future growth.
