Keep in mind that absolutely <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>no drilling<\/strong><\/span> had occurred at <strong>Wolverine\/Nuiklavik<\/strong> at this time. These <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>observations<\/strong><\/span> were based on <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>geological mapping<\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>surface exposures<\/strong><\/span>, and <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>rock sampling<\/strong><\/span>. In places where the <strong>mineralized volcanic sequence<\/strong> was <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>exposed at surface<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>government geologists<\/strong> were able to <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>measure<\/strong><\/span> its <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>stratigraphic thickness<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>correlate<\/strong><\/span> the same <strong>mineralized unit<\/strong> across the broader area:<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 14px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"1993 Government of Newfoundland and Labrador geological report conclusions on Nuiklavik\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sagawolverineconclusions.jpg\" style=\"display:block; width:100%; max-width:581px; height:auto; border:0;\" \/><\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 14px;\">The <strong>report<\/strong> <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>concluded<\/strong><\/span> that the <strong>rare-metal mineralization<\/strong> had been <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>observed<\/strong><\/span> to be <strong>32 metres thick<\/strong> in one occurrence and <strong><span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">at least<\/span> 4 metres thick<\/strong> over an area of <strong>14 square kilometres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 14px;\"><strong>SAGA<\/strong> is now estimating a total footprint of <strong>REE Ash Flows<\/strong> at the <strong>Wolverine Heavy Rare Earth Project<\/strong> of <strong>26 sq km<\/strong>, one of the <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>largest<\/strong><\/span> in the world. <strong>Wednesday&#8217;s<\/strong> <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>confirmation<\/strong><\/span> (even without assays being ready yet) that the <strong>prospective REE-bearing volcanic ash tuff unit<\/strong> was <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>intercepted<\/strong><\/span> for <strong>169 metres<\/strong> is a <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>total game-changer<\/strong><\/span>.
