Western Potash (TSX: WPX)<\/strong> is focused on developing its 100% owned 87,500 acre<\/em> Milestone Potash Project<\/strong> located approximately 30 km southeast of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, at the heart of the world’s richest<\/span> and most prolific<\/span> concentration of potash mines containing 50% of the world’s potash reserves<\/span> and 30% of the world’s potash production<\/span><\/strong><\/em>. WPX<\/strong>‘s Milestone Potash Project<\/strong> is immediately adjacent<\/em><\/strong> to major potash projects owned by BHP-Billiton (BHP)<\/strong>: a $105 billion<\/strong><\/span> company, Vale (VALE)<\/strong>: a $44 billion<\/strong><\/span> company, and K+S AG (KPLUY)<\/strong>: a $4.5 billion<\/strong><\/span> company. It is in very close proximity to the largest<\/span> solution-extraction potash operation<\/strong> in the world, the Belle Plaine Potash Mine<\/strong>, owned and operated by Mosaic (MOS)<\/strong>: a $10.6 billion<\/strong><\/span> company.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

At WPX<\/strong>‘s current price of $0.135, its Milestone Potash Project<\/strong> is being valued at less than zero<\/span><\/strong><\/em> when in 2010, K+S AG (KPLUY)<\/strong> paid CAD$434 million<\/strong><\/span> to acquire the adjacent potash assets of Potash One<\/strong>! K+S AG<\/strong> is currently building a production plant at its Legacy Potash Project<\/strong> and is set to commence potash production in 2017! WPX<\/strong>‘s Milestone Potash Project<\/strong> is very similar<\/em><\/strong><\/span> to the Legacy Potash Project<\/strong> in terms of size and projected commercialization\/production costs!<\/span><\/p>\n\n
