\n The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB)\/Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) ratio<\/strong> has just exploded<\/strong><\/span> this morning to a new multi-year high<\/strong><\/span>. Take a look at the long-term<\/span> chart<\/strong>. We are in the early stages of a secular bull market<\/strong><\/span> for biotech stocks<\/strong>.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Medicure (TSXV: MPH)’s market cap<\/strong> is approximately US$30 million<\/strong><\/span> right now but will be US$200 million<\/strong><\/span> soon. If you read our alert, we didn’t<\/strong><\/span> actually believe<\/strong><\/span> in their COVID-19<\/span> drug<\/strong> at all. We liked Revive<\/strong> for its early-stage<\/span> psychedelics<\/strong> only, but acknowledged the COVID-19<\/span> drug<\/strong> would drive its value. We 100% believe<\/span> in Medicure’s MC-1 and are 100% sure<\/span> it gets approval<\/span>.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Even when Revive’s Phase 3 trial was completely failing<\/span> because the placebo group<\/span> wasn’t being hospitalized<\/span> for COVID-19, and the stock crashed to below<\/span> NIA’s suggestion price in early 2022, it still<\/span> had a market cap of US$40 million<\/span> at the early-2022 low<\/span>, which is above<\/span> what Medicure is worth today. When Revive tried to “change the goalposts<\/span>” to see if their drug reduces<\/span> symptoms instead of hospitalizations, it actually rebounded<\/span> in mid-2022 to a US$120 million<\/span> market cap. But by then, there were many red flags<\/span>, and we didn’t<\/span> like the company anymore at all.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Recognize that Medicure (TSXV: MPH)<\/strong> right now is very early<\/strong><\/span>, and most people will chase<\/strong><\/span> it once it breaks<\/strong><\/span> $10 per share<\/strong>.\n <\/p>\n\n
