{"id":1411,"date":"2024-02-02T13:20:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-02T17:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/?p=1411"},"modified":"2025-06-13T09:02:52","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T13:02:52","slug":"dro-is-probably-worth-about-1-2-per-share","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/articles\/dro-is-probably-worth-about-1-2-per-share\/","title":{"rendered":"DRO\u00a0Is Probably Worth About\u00a0$1-$2 Per Share"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:sans-serif;\">Prior to launching NIA in 2009 we had other defense technology investments that have been <span style=\"color: rgb(39, 174, 96);\"><strong>acquired at large premiums<\/strong><\/span> in the past by <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"color:#27ae60;\">large<\/span> defense contractors<\/strong> and we have been <span style=\"color: rgb(41, 128, 185);\"><strong>comparing multiples<\/strong><\/span> of what previous companies were sold for and our guess is that <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">DroneShield (ASX: DRO)<\/strong> gets <span style=\"color: rgb(39, 174, 96);\"><strong>acquired<\/strong><\/span> in the upcoming months for about <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">$1-$2 per share<\/strong>. <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">DRO&#39;s software<\/strong> for drone detection is <span style=\"color: rgb(39, 174, 96);\"><strong>much more advanced<\/strong><\/span> than <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Tesla&#39;s self-driving&nbsp;software<\/strong>. <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Tesla&#39;s&nbsp;<\/strong><b style=\"font-size: 14px;\">technology<\/b>&nbsp;is not very good and based entirely on <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">cameras<\/strong>, but <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">DRO <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">combines many different<\/span> sensors<\/strong>&nbsp;with its <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">proprietary<\/span> AI software<\/strong> to determine the <span style=\"color: rgb(231, 76, 60);\"><strong>difference<\/strong><\/span> between a <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">drone<\/strong>, a <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">bird<\/strong>, or a <strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">flying paper plate<\/strong> many miles away&nbsp;as well as if the <strong>drone<\/strong> is a <span style=\"color: rgb(231, 76, 60);\"><strong>threat<\/strong><\/span> and what needs to be done to <span style=\"color: rgb(231, 76, 60);\"><strong>stop<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp;that <strong>drone<\/strong> immediately. <strong>DRO<\/strong> uses <strong>FPGAs<\/strong> that are <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>many times faster<\/strong><\/span> than <strong>Nvidia (NVDA)&#39;s GPUs<\/strong>. There are <strong><span style=\"color:#27ae60;\">many large<\/span> defense contractors<\/strong> that <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>desperately<\/strong><\/span> <strong><span style=\"color:#27ae60;\">need to acquire<\/span> DRO&#39;s technology<\/strong>, and although it will end up being a <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>5-10 bagger<\/strong><\/span> from our initial suggestion price of <strong>$0.20 per share<\/strong>, we <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>don&#39;t<\/strong><\/span> think it ends up going to <strong>$5<\/strong> or anything crazy like that.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:sans-serif;\"><em>Past performance is not an indicator of future returns.
