Last year, NIA announced DroneShield (ASX: DRO)<\/strong> as its first ever<\/span> defense sector stock suggestion<\/span><\/strong> at $0.20 per share<\/strong>. NIA predicted that DRO<\/strong> would win large<\/span> U.S. government contracts<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

One month ago on July 15th, DRO received its largest<\/span> order<\/strong> in history, a $33 million<\/span> contract<\/strong> from a U.S. government agency<\/strong>. DRO<\/strong> expects to receive full payment<\/strong><\/span> of the order<\/strong> prior to the end of 2023<\/strong> and anticipates this year to be another record<\/span> year<\/strong>, by a wide margin<\/strong><\/span>, following the previous record<\/span> year<\/strong> in 2022<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Separately, DRO received a $9.9 million<\/span> order<\/strong> last month from another customer among the Five Eyes<\/strong> community. DRO<\/strong> has a current order backlog<\/strong> (committed orders in the process of fulfilment) of a record $62 million<\/strong><\/span>, with a further $200 million+<\/strong><\/span> in potential business that they are working towards winning<\/strong><\/span> in the future spread across over<\/span> 80 opportunities<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Two weeks ago, DRO announced an initial order<\/span><\/strong> for its newly launched<\/span> target area-specific<\/span> Satellite Denial Systems<\/strong>, which are used to block<\/strong><\/span> multiple Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS)<\/strong> around the world including the U.S. GPS<\/strong>, the Russian GLONASS<\/strong>, the Chinese BeiDou<\/strong>, and the European Galileo<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Currently, DRO<\/strong> is trading for $0.315 per share<\/strong> for a gain of 57.5%<\/strong><\/span> since NIA's suggestion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It would not<\/strong><\/span> be surprising<\/strong><\/span> for DRO<\/strong> to surpass<\/strong><\/span> its January high<\/span><\/strong> of $0.42 per share<\/strong> within the next twelve months.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
