AI technology<\/strong> has a huge future<\/strong><\/span> ahead, a future that will require a lot<\/strong><\/span> of copper<\/strong><\/span> to make possible. J. David Lowell<\/strong> who discovered more <\/strong><\/span>copper<\/strong><\/span> than any human in history sold his company to Richard Warke's Solaris Resources (TSX: SLS)<\/strong>, which is advancing<\/strong><\/span> Warintza<\/strong> the world's<\/span> last remaining large-scale<\/span> copper project<\/span><\/strong> at a low elevation<\/strong><\/span> near<\/span> infrastructure<\/strong> and not yet <\/strong><\/span>owned<\/strong><\/span> by a major<\/span> mining giant<\/span><\/strong> like BHP<\/strong>, Rio Tinto<\/strong>, or Zijin<\/strong>. SLS gained by 5.45%<\/span><\/strong> today to a new two-year closing high<\/strong><\/span> of $6.38 per share<\/strong>. SLS market cap<\/strong> is now CAD$1.05 billion<\/strong><\/span> and Augusta Gold (TSX: G)<\/strong> will be there soon with Reward<\/strong> and Bullfrog<\/strong> likely to generate<\/strong><\/span> US$500 million <\/strong>in annual revenue<\/strong> based on current gold prices<\/strong><\/span> after both mines are in production<\/strong><\/span>. Augusta Gold (TSX: G)<\/strong> will soon employ<\/span> hundreds of people<\/strong> in the Beatty Gold District<\/span><\/strong> and it will all be thanks to President Trump<\/strong> and his hard-working<\/span> officials<\/strong> at the EXIM Bank<\/strong> including Howard Lutnick<\/strong> the greatest<\/strong><\/span> Commerce Secretary<\/strong> in U.S. history.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Unfortunately, most<\/span> Americans<\/strong> will miss out<\/strong><\/span> on Augusta Gold (TSX: G)<\/strong> because they went "all-in<\/span>"<\/strong> on VOO<\/strong> due to the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement<\/strong>, which is a cult<\/strong><\/span> of millions of Americans<\/strong> obsessed<\/strong><\/span> with the idea<\/strong><\/span> of "retiring early"<\/strong>. FIRE members<\/strong> put away<\/span> 10%, 25%, 50%, or more<\/strong> of their weekly paycheck<\/strong> into VOO<\/strong>, which helps<\/strong><\/span> the companies at the very top<\/strong><\/span> get even larger<\/strong><\/span>… keeping shares of Nvidia (NVDA)<\/strong>, Apple (AAPL)<\/strong>, Tesla (TSLA)<\/strong>, and other big tech<\/span> companies<\/strong> propped up<\/strong><\/span> at or near record high<\/span> valuation multiples<\/strong> despite rapidly declining<\/span> growth<\/span> rates<\/strong>. FIRE members<\/strong> know that if they can't<\/span> continuously<\/span> recruit new<\/span> members<\/strong> to buy<\/strong><\/span> VOO<\/strong>, big tech<\/span> stocks<\/strong> will collapse <\/strong><\/span>and so will their "dream<\/span>"<\/strong> of retiring early.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In a free-market economy<\/strong> where the stock<\/strong> and housing markets<\/strong> trade based on true<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>fundamental value<\/strong>, Americans<\/strong> would have incentive<\/strong><\/span> to invest their capital<\/strong><\/span> into building<\/span> real<\/span> businesses<\/strong> from the ground-floor that produce<\/span> real<\/span> products<\/strong> and provide<\/span> real<\/span> services<\/strong>—allowing<\/strong><\/span> for real<\/span> wage growth<\/strong>. Today's illusion<\/strong><\/span> of passive investing<\/strong> where Americans<\/strong> are told to just "buy<\/span> the index forever"<\/strong> without<\/strong><\/span> any regard to the market's record high<\/span> price\/sales<\/strong> and price\/book value ratios<\/strong> and near record high<\/span> CAPE<\/strong> and Market Cap\/GDP ratios<\/strong>—has created a phony<\/span>\/fake<\/span> economy<\/strong> where wages don't<\/span> keep up<\/strong> with asset prices<\/strong>. When FIRE cult<\/span> members<\/strong> go to "cash out"<\/strong> and "retire"<\/strong>—their savings<\/strong> will evaporate<\/strong><\/span> without the bid of new<\/span> cult<\/span> members<\/strong> joining.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Everything revolves around VOO<\/strong> always going up<\/strong><\/span>, although some FIRE cult<\/span> members<\/strong> may diversify<\/strong><\/span> into VTI<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Desperate<\/strong><\/span> to keep the cult<\/strong><\/span> growing<\/strong><\/span>, they've come up with all these fancy<\/strong><\/span> new<\/span> sects<\/strong>: LeanFIRE<\/strong> for the frugal, FatFIRE<\/strong> for the fancy, CoastFIRE<\/strong> for the coasting, BaristaFIRE<\/strong> for the coffee-loving semi-retirees, SlowFIRE<\/strong> to take a more gradual path to financial independence, GeoFIRE<\/strong> using geographic arbitrage to live in cheaper locations, HobbyFIRE<\/strong> for folks who retire early with just enough to cover the basics but focus on turning a passion or hobby into a small income stream, EcoFIRE<\/strong> for those who prioritize sustainability in their financial independence journey, SideHustleFIRE<\/strong> for those who lean on a portfolio of small side hustles for income after reaching a partial retirement point, NomadFIRE<\/strong> for those who achieve financial independence with the goal of bouncing between countries with a low cost of living, LegacyFIRE<\/strong> for those who aim to not only retire early but also build wealth to pass down to family, charities, or causes they care about, AdventureFIRE<\/strong> for thrill-seekers who save up to retire early with the specific goal of chasing adrenaline-pumping experiences, PawFIRE<\/strong> for pet lovers who achieve financial independence with the help of their dog working as a pet influencer or doing professional scent detection for explosives, narcotics, mold, or bed bugs, TechFIRE<\/strong> for the tech-savvy investors who bank on crypto, AI startups, or other high-risk, high-reward ventures to fast-track their retirement, FarmFIRE<\/strong> for the back-to-the-land dreamers who save enough to buy rural property and live self-sufficiently off crops and livestock, and ChillFIRE<\/strong> for those who just want to kick back with the bare minimum, avoiding all stress or hustle to meditate, nap, or binge-watch their way through early retirement.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

It’s a veritable smorgasbord<\/span> of financial fantasies<\/span>, each with its own flavor of denial<\/span> about the market’s shaky<\/span> scaffolding!<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

While the FIRE cultists<\/span><\/strong> are busy dollar cost averaging<\/span><\/strong> into VOO<\/strong>, the "everything but VOO"<\/strong> ETF, ACWX<\/strong>, has been quietly outperforming<\/strong><\/span> by leaps and bounds. Mention ACWX<\/strong> in a FIRE subreddit<\/strong> and you might get excommunicated<\/strong><\/span>. From the day Trump took<\/span> office<\/strong>—ACWX<\/strong> has gained by 14.88%<\/strong><\/span> or 5.573x more<\/strong><\/span> than VOO's gain of 2.67%<\/span><\/strong>. The world's<\/span> #1 most undervalued<\/span> <\/strong>ETF iShares MSCI Brazil (EWZ)<\/strong> has gained by 19.45%<\/strong><\/span> or 7.285x more<\/strong><\/span> than VOO<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Imagine if FIRE<\/strong> existed during J. David Lowell's time<\/strong> and you tried recruiting him!
