Almadex Minerals (TSXV: DEX) predecessor<\/span> <\/strong>company Almaden Minerals (TSX: AMM)<\/strong> is trying to not<\/strong><\/span> have its mining claims<\/strong> for the Ixtaca Gold-Silver Deposit stolen<\/span><\/strong> by the Mexican government<\/strong> under Mexico's newly passed<\/span> unfair<\/span> mining legislation<\/strong>. AMM<\/strong> in December delivered<\/strong><\/span> to Mexico<\/strong> a Request for Consultations<\/strong> in accordance with the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership<\/strong> relating to an investment<\/span> dispute<\/span><\/strong> with Mexico<\/strong>. The filing of the Request for Consultations<\/strong> initiates a six-month consultation period<\/strong><\/span> between the parties, during which they are to attempt to amicably settle<\/strong><\/span> the dispute<\/strong><\/span>. If no<\/span> settlement<\/span><\/strong> is reached in that six-month period, AMM<\/strong> may then initiate<\/span> international arbitration proceedings against<\/span> Mexico<\/strong> in <\/span>accordance with the CPTPP<\/strong> after serving<\/strong><\/span> a notice of intent<\/strong> to submit<\/span> claims<\/strong> to arbitration<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

AMM's Ixtaca Gold-Silver Deposit<\/strong> contains a proven & probable reserve<\/strong><\/span> of 1.387 million oz of gold<\/strong><\/span> grading 0.59 g\/t<\/strong><\/span> and 85.159 million oz of silver<\/strong><\/span> grading 36.3 g\/t silver<\/strong><\/span>. A favorable settlement<\/strong><\/span> in the first half<\/strong><\/span> of 2024<\/strong> would cause both AMM<\/strong> and DEX<\/strong> to make massive gains<\/strong><\/span>, because DEX owns a 2.0% NSR royalty<\/span><\/strong> in Ixtaca<\/strong>. DEX<\/strong> is currently receiving zero<\/strong><\/span> value for any of its 15 royalties<\/strong><\/span>, but NIA estimates that a favorable resolution<\/strong><\/span> in Mexico<\/strong> would immediately value DEX's <\/strong>2.0% NSR royalty<\/strong><\/span> in Ixtaca <\/strong>at CAD$40 million<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

The most important<\/strong><\/span> thing to know about DEX<\/strong> is that the company is unlikely<\/strong><\/span> to ever dilute<\/span><\/strong> in the future. As soon as DEX makes a significant discovery<\/span><\/strong> at one of the many<\/span> properties<\/strong> it is about to drill in Nevada<\/strong>, Arizona<\/strong>, and New Mexico<\/strong>, DEX<\/strong> could immediately rise<\/strong><\/span> to $1+ per share<\/strong> on not<\/strong><\/span> a lot<\/strong><\/span> of volume<\/strong> because its shares<\/strong> are tightly held<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
