Prior to Total Metals (TSXV: TT)<\/strong> announcing its deal this week to acquire<\/span> High Lake<\/strong> and West Hawk Lake<\/strong>, TT<\/strong> was already worth CAD$20 million<\/strong> from its high-grade<\/span> polymetallic<\/span> Electrolode property<\/strong> alone.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

McFarlane Lake (CSE: MLM) declined<\/span><\/strong> in value this week when they announced their deal to sell<\/span> High Lake<\/strong> and West Hawk Lake<\/strong> to Total Metals (TSXV: TT)<\/strong>. MLM investors aren’t<\/span> happy<\/span><\/strong> about losing<\/span><\/strong> these high-grade<\/span> gold properties<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

TT<\/strong> is paying a total of CAD$9.25 million<\/strong> for these high-grade<\/strong><\/span> gold projects<\/strong><\/span> and MLM<\/strong> will be focusing<\/span><\/strong> on a lower grade<\/span> property<\/strong> it is acquiring<\/span><\/strong> from Aris Mining<\/strong>. MLM<\/strong> has share structure problems<\/span><\/strong> with over<\/span> 61.5 million $0.07 per share warrants<\/strong> that will create severe dilution<\/strong><\/span> and drag<\/strong><\/span> its share price lower<\/span><\/strong>. TT<\/strong> is tightly<\/span> held<\/strong> with only 29.7 million shares outstanding<\/strong>. Any financing TT <\/strong>does to complete<\/strong><\/span> the acquisition<\/strong><\/span> it should immediately be able to push through<\/strong><\/span> due to tremendous value creation <\/strong><\/span>similar to Discovery Silver (TSX: DSV)<\/strong> earlier this year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In November 2023, when the TSX Venture Composite Index<\/strong> was at a historical bottom<\/span><\/strong>… MLM<\/strong> was focused<\/strong><\/span> on exploring<\/span> High Lake<\/strong> and West Hawk Lake<\/strong> and had a market cap<\/strong> of CAD$27.24 million<\/strong> with only a NEO exchange listing<\/strong>, which almost nobody<\/strong><\/span> has access<\/strong><\/span> to. High Lake<\/strong> caught Rob McEwen’s attention<\/strong> who invested<\/strong><\/span> into the company. McEwen<\/strong> said regarding MLM<\/strong> and its high-grade intercepts<\/strong><\/span> at High Lake<\/strong>, “I was attracted<\/span> to McFarlane Lake because of its terrific<\/span> high-grade intercepts<\/span> and the fact<\/span> that it is in Canada and located close to where Goldcorp Inc. enjoyed such phenomenal<\/span> exploration success<\/span> and profitability<\/span>.” Frank Giustra <\/strong>also invested<\/strong><\/span> into MLM<\/strong> at the time it was focused<\/strong><\/span> on High Lake<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

At Electrolode<\/strong>, TT’s Arrow Zone<\/strong> alone contains a 43-101 inferred resource<\/strong> of 2.1 million tonnes<\/strong> at 0.66% copper<\/strong><\/span>, 4.75% zinc<\/strong><\/span>, 0.66 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span>, 17.7 g\/t silver<\/strong><\/span>. On the other side of the property, TT’s E-Zone<\/strong> has a smaller non-43-101 historical resource<\/strong> averaging 1.08% copper<\/strong><\/span>, 8.28% zinc<\/strong><\/span>, 0.39 oz\/t silver<\/strong><\/span>. In the underexplored D-Zone<\/strong> on strike<\/strong><\/span> with the E-Zone<\/strong> an intercept was made of 10.0 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span>, 1.75% copper<\/strong><\/span>, 0.86% zinc<\/strong><\/span>, and 240.6 g\/t silver<\/strong><\/span> over 3.4 meters<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Not only does High Lake<\/strong> have an indicated 45,800 oz gold<\/span><\/strong> grading 9.38 g\/t<\/strong><\/span> and an inferred 96,200 oz gold<\/span><\/strong> grading 10.43 g\/t<\/strong><\/span>, but West Hawk Lake<\/strong> has a high-grade<\/span> non-43-101 historical resource<\/strong> of 204,292 oz gold<\/strong><\/span> grading 13.90 g\/t<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

What will all of these exceptional high-grade assets<\/span> be worth combined<\/span> in a new<\/span> Total Metals (TSXV: TT) company with an experienced management team focused on them with better visibility along with strong market conditions and a TSX Venture Composite Index hitting new multi-year highs<\/span>?<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
