\nOn October 23rd<\/strong>, with the TSX Venture Composite Index<\/strong> trading at 964.23<\/strong>, NIA issued an alert titled \u201cWe\u2019re in a Stock Pickers Market, TSX Venture Could Trade Sideways for Six Months.\u201d<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n

\nIn that alert, NIA warned<\/strong><\/span> that after rising<\/strong><\/span> for eight consecutive<\/span> months<\/strong>, the TSX Venture was unlikely to push significantly higher in the immediate term. We wrote:\n<\/p>\n\n

\n\u201cWe don\u2019t<\/span> think the TSX Venture\u2019s 2023 lows<\/span> will ever be seen again, but after so many straight months of gains<\/span>, strong resistance<\/span> is likely near the 2021 highs<\/span>. Ultimately it will break out<\/span> far above<\/span> the 2021 highs<\/span>, but not immediately.\u201d<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

\nLooking at the long-term chart, the recent short-term peak happened exactly where it should have:\n<\/p>\n\n

\nFrom the November 2023 low<\/span> of 506.65<\/strong> to the October 2025 high<\/span> of 1,037.22<\/strong>, the TSX Venture surged<\/span><\/strong> 104.72%<\/span> in just 23 months<\/strong>. This mirrors the index\u2019s worst<\/strong><\/span> bull market in history… the 101.46% gain<\/span> from January 2016 to January 2018<\/strong>, which took 24 months.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nNatural resource investors<\/strong> have been following this pattern closely. Many concluded that, at minimum<\/strong><\/span>, the TSX Venture<\/strong> would likely double<\/span> off the November 2023 bottom<\/span><\/strong>, creating a logical early<\/span> profit-taking<\/span> zone<\/span><\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nDuring the 2016\u20132018<\/strong> run, the TSX Venture\u2019s<\/strong> 101.46%<\/strong><\/span> gain outperformed<\/span> gold\u2019s<\/span><\/strong> 28.73% rise<\/strong><\/span> (from $1,061.20\/oz to $1,366.05\/oz) by a factor of 3.53x<\/strong><\/span>.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nBut this cycle is different.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nFrom November 2023 to October 2025<\/strong>, while the TSX Venture climbed<\/span><\/strong> 104.72%<\/span><\/strong>, gold<\/span> exploded<\/span><\/strong> from $1,928.10\/oz to $4,381.48\/oz<\/strong>, a massive 127.24% gain<\/strong><\/span>.\n<\/p>\n\n

In other words:<\/p>\n\n

\nSince November 2023, the TSX Venture has been underperforming<\/span> gold<\/span>… something that has never<\/span> happened in any previous TSX Venture bull<\/span> market.\n<\/h3>\n\n

\nThis makes one thing absolutely clear:\n<\/p>\n\n

\nIt is 100% impossible<\/span> for the TSX Venture\u2019s bull<\/span> market to be over<\/span>.\n<\/h3>\n\n

\nWe are still only in the early innings<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n
