North Peak Resources (TSXV: NPR) gained by 3.57%<\/span><\/strong> today to a new 52-week high<\/strong><\/span> of $1.16 per share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If NPR's Industry Tunnel<\/strong> and\/or Dean Cave drill core assays<\/strong> are very high grade<\/strong><\/span> (which seems likely given the channel samples<\/strong> up to 90.4 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span>), NPR<\/strong> may want to lead into the blockbuster<\/strong><\/span> results with a warm-up<\/strong><\/span> announcement.<\/p>\n\n

The so-called “waste dumps” at Prospect Mountain<\/strong> were created between 1880 and 1950, when only spectacular<\/span> ore<\/strong> — often 15–50 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span>, 600–1,800 g\/t silver<\/strong><\/span>, 10–25% lead<\/strong><\/span>, and 5–15% zinc<\/strong><\/span> — was sent<\/strong><\/span> to the mill. Anything less<\/strong><\/span> was tossed aside<\/strong><\/span>. What was considered “waste” a century ago could be extremely economic<\/strong><\/span> today, potentially allowing NPR<\/strong> to begin generating<\/span> meaningful<\/span> revenue<\/strong> in 2026.<\/p>\n\n

In March, Borealis Mining (TSXV: BOGO)<\/strong> had a low<\/span> market cap<\/strong> similar to NPR<\/strong> today. By simply processing<\/strong><\/span> its surface stockpile<\/strong> — and without<\/strong><\/span> delivering any major<\/span> new discoveries<\/span><\/strong> — BOGO soared<\/span><\/strong> to a market cap of ~$260 million<\/strong><\/span> by the end of November.<\/p>\n\n

NPR<\/strong> has an estimated 220,000 tons<\/strong> of material at the Diamond Tunnel<\/strong> dump, compared to BOGO’s<\/strong> 327,000-ton<\/strong> stockpile prior to processing. Historic sampling at the dump showed feed grades ranging from a low<\/strong><\/span> of 0.76 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span>, 27.5 g\/t silver<\/strong><\/span> to a high<\/strong><\/span> of 3.19 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span>, 34.46 g\/t silver<\/strong><\/span> — which strongly<\/strong><\/span> suggests<\/strong><\/span> that NPR’s material<\/strong> could be higher grade<\/strong><\/span> than the 0.50 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> stockpile BOGO<\/strong> recently processed.<\/p>\n\n

If NPR confirms<\/span><\/strong> these grades with assays now pending, its “waste” dumps could quickly become one of the highest-margin<\/strong><\/span>, near-surface<\/span> oxide feed sources<\/strong> in Nevada — potentially transforming<\/strong><\/span> NPR’s valuation<\/strong> in a very short<\/span> period of time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In many ways, NPR today resembles<\/span> Kirkland Lake Gold in 2001<\/strong>, prior to NPR Executive Chairman Harry Dobson<\/strong> taking<\/strong><\/span> its market cap from $20 million<\/strong><\/span> to $2 billion<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n

Similarly, Contango ORE (CTGO) today resembles<\/span><\/strong> Kirkland Lake Gold in 2015<\/strong>, just before acquiring<\/strong><\/span> Newmarket Gold and unlocking<\/strong><\/span> the Fosterville discovery<\/span><\/strong> — a transformational<\/strong><\/span> moment that ultimately drove<\/strong><\/span> Kirkland Lake to an $11 billion<\/strong><\/span> market cap in the following years.<\/p>\n\n
