{"id":6082,"date":"2023-05-16T21:58:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T02:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/?p=6082"},"modified":"2026-01-03T17:52:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T22:52:58","slug":"will-citgo-get-auctioned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/articles\/will-citgo-get-auctioned\/","title":{"rendered":"Will Citgo Get Auctioned?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><font face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">We have always said since our initial suggestion of <strong>Rusoro Mining (TSXV: RML)<\/strong> at <strong>$0.05 per share<\/strong> that it is <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>very risky\/speculative<\/strong><\/span> because they <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>don&#8217;t<\/strong><\/span> have a <span style=\"color:#f1c40f;\"><strong>gold mine<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; it was <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>stolen<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; all they have is a <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>US$1.7 billion legally enforceable judgment<\/strong><\/span> against <strong>Venezuela<\/strong>. If <strong>Citgo<\/strong> does get <strong><span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">auctioned<\/span> RML<\/strong> will be worth <strong>$2+ per share<\/strong>.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n\n<p><font face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">On May 1st it was reported, <em><strong>&#8220;The Treasury, which has <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\">blocked<\/span> transactions involving Venezuela&#8217;s U.S. assets, will <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\">not take enforcement action to halt <\/span>the <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">auction<\/span> or a <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">negotiated settlement<\/span>, the Justice Department wrote in a letter filed on Friday in U.S. District Court in Delaware. The Treasury would have to issue a license to complete any sale.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n\n<p><font face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">We <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>don&#8217;t<\/strong><\/span> think <strong>RML&#8217;s <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\">high<\/span><\/strong> on Monday of <strong>$0.13 per share<\/strong> will be its <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>high<\/strong><\/span> for all of 2023.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:sans-serif;\"><em>Past performance is not an indicator of future returns.
