We're starting to see some Crypto YouTube channels pivot to becoming experts<\/span> on silver<\/span><\/strong>, which is something we predicted would happen back in 2023, but it's a little troubling<\/strong><\/span> to actually see it happening in real life…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

On October 17th after silver <\/strong><\/span>hit<\/strong><\/span> $50 per oz<\/strong><\/span> and everybody started taking profits<\/strong><\/span> thinking that was the top<\/strong><\/span>… NIA sent out an alert entitled, 'Silver<\/span>\/S&P 500 Ratio Hasn’t<\/span> Yet Returned<\/span> to 20-Year Average'<\/strong>. At the time, we had a Silver<\/span>\/S&P 500 ratio<\/strong> of 0.0079<\/strong>. Click here<\/strong><\/a> to see.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In this alert, NIA said, "The Silver<\/span>\/S&P 500 Ratio hasn’t yet<\/span> returned<\/span> to the 20-Year Average of 0.0103 which would currently value silver at $68 per oz<\/span>. The people who are taking profits<\/span> on silver stocks<\/span> too early<\/span> and putting the money<\/span> into VOO are pretty dumb<\/span>. Worry about how much the S&P 500 will soon crash<\/span> when the AI ponzi falls apart."<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Since then, the Silver<\/span>\/S&P 500 Ratio<\/strong> has nearly doubled<\/strong><\/span> to 0.0149<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We still believe the S&P 500 crashing<\/span><\/strong> should be the biggest concern<\/strong><\/span>, but it doesn't mean a collapse<\/strong><\/span> in the S&P 500 can't<\/span><\/strong> cause silver<\/strong><\/span> to temporarily<\/strong><\/span> dip by 30%-50%<\/strong><\/span> before exploding<\/strong><\/span> to $200-$300 per oz<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We are most likely going to well above<\/strong><\/span> the August 2011 peak<\/span><\/strong> Silver<\/span>\/S&P 500 Ratio<\/strong> of 0.0389<\/strong> within the next<\/span> 2-3 years<\/strong> but expect a lot of volatility<\/strong><\/span> between now and then.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

There are certain silver stocks<\/strong><\/span> like Highlander Silver (TSX: HSLV)<\/strong>, Contango ORE (CTGO)<\/strong>, and Minaurum Silver (TSXV: MGG)<\/strong> that are undervalued<\/strong><\/span> enough where they can rise<\/strong><\/span> even during a silver <\/strong><\/span>pullback<\/strong><\/span>… but for most other silver stocks<\/strong><\/span> this isn't<\/strong><\/span> the case.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Hycroft Mining (HYMC) <\/strong>is a meme stock<\/strong><\/span> there is no<\/span> connection<\/strong> between its market cap<\/strong> and fundamentals<\/strong><\/span>. Eric Sprott<\/strong> has no way to exit<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

We tried shorting<\/span> HYMC<\/strong> on December 23rd and didn't<\/strong><\/span> get filled<\/strong><\/span> at $30 per share<\/strong>. If we shorted<\/strong><\/span> it, we would have covered<\/strong><\/span> it relatively quickly like when we shorted<\/strong><\/span> New Found Gold (NFGC)<\/strong> in November 2021 and covered<\/strong><\/span> within a few days. On January 6th, when HYMC<\/strong> was about to hit $30 per share<\/strong>, we sent out an alert saying, "Nickel futures<\/strong> are up by 7.90%<\/strong><\/span> this morning and if you look at in situ value Canada Nickel Company (TSXV: CNC)’s nickel resources<\/strong> have approximately quadruple the value<\/strong><\/span> of Hycroft Mining (HYMC)’s gold<\/span>\/silver<\/span><\/strong>. We aren’t<\/strong><\/span> going to short<\/span> HYMC<\/strong> because silver<\/strong><\/span> will be $100+ per oz<\/strong><\/span> very soon, but at some point, in the future… CNC’s market cap<\/strong> will exceed<\/span> HYMC<\/strong> and if CNC<\/strong> does well Noble Mineral Exploration (TSXV: NOB)<\/strong> will do even better."<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Vale (VALE)<\/strong> over the long-term<\/strong><\/span> will outperform all<\/span> other<\/span> large-cap<\/span> mining stocks<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
