No single source was fully complete or accurate, so we\n    pieced together data from dozens of sources to produce reliable figures going back\n    <strong>20 years<\/strong>.\n  <\/p>\n\n  <p style=\"margin:0 0 14px 0; color:#000;\">\n    As of Friday\u2019s close, the <strong>market cap<\/strong> of all\n    <strong>U.S.-listed stocks<\/strong> on the <strong>NYSE<\/strong> and <strong>NASDAQ<\/strong>\n    was <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>$53.496 trillion<\/strong><\/span>, versus\n    <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>$63.937 trillion<\/strong><\/span> for the\n    <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\"><strong>rest of the world<\/strong><\/span>, for a\n    <strong>total <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">global<\/span> market cap<\/strong> of\n    <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>$117.433 trillion<\/strong><\/span>.\n  <\/p>\n\n  <p style=\"margin:0 0 14px 0; color:#000;\">\n    <strong>U.S.-listed stocks<\/strong> now represent\n    <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>45.55%<\/strong><\/span> of the\n    <strong>total <span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">global<\/span> market cap<\/strong> \u2014 a\n    <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>new 20-year high<\/strong><\/span>. It is\n    <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>extremely unlikely<\/strong><\/span> this share can rise\n    much further given that <strong>U.S. GDP<\/strong> is\n    <span style=\"color:#e74c3c;\"><strong>less than<\/strong><\/span>\n    <span style=\"color:#27ae60;\"><strong>25%<\/strong><\/span> of\n    <strong><span style=\"color:#2980b9;\">global<\/span> GDP<\/strong>.
