Celtic plc (LSE: CCP)<\/strong> has the most passionate<\/span> fan base<\/strong> in all of professional sports<\/strong> and deserves a valuation multiple<\/strong> similar to U.S. professional sports franchises<\/strong>, but being in Scotland<\/strong> it is somehow being valued like a high-risk<\/span> frontier market<\/strong> play despite the fact that President Trump owns<\/span> two major golf resorts<\/strong> in Scotland and an investment group<\/strong> led by the San Francisco 49ers<\/strong> recently acquired<\/strong><\/span> a majority stake<\/strong><\/span> in Celtic's rival<\/span><\/strong> the Rangers<\/strong>, and Celtic defeated<\/span><\/strong> the Rangers<\/strong> today!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Similar to gold<\/strong><\/span>, professional sports franchises<\/strong> always go up<\/strong><\/span> in value. If we had the choice of owning 100%<\/strong><\/span> of Celtic<\/strong> or any gold<\/span>\/silver<\/span> exploration & development company<\/strong> of similar market cap<\/strong>… there is absolutely no doubt<\/strong><\/span> we would choose Celtic<\/strong>. The average<\/span> North American professional sports franchise<\/strong> across the Big 4 Leagues the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL… has increased in value from $254 million in 2000, to $530 million in 2010, and to $4.42 billion in 2026.
