Out of <strong>68 global mining jurisdictions<\/strong> evaluated by the Fraser Institute, Labrador is ranked <strong class=\"hl\">7th<\/strong> in its highly favorable Policy Perception Index (PPI).<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mineconnect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Fraser-1.jpg\" alt=\"Fraser Institute Policy Perception Index\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>On <strong>May 8th<\/strong>, SAGA raised <strong class=\"g\">CAD$10,236,486<\/strong> at <strong>$0.65 per share<\/strong>, with participants accepting a four-month holding period. The financing shores up SAGA&#8217;s treasury while providing it with the <strong>financial strength<\/strong> to deliver maiden resources on both its <span class=\"b\">Wolverine Heavy Rare Earth Project<\/span> and <span class=\"b\">Radar Titanium Project<\/span> in the near term.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagadrilling.jpg\" alt=\"Saga Metals drilling\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>SAGA is in the process of acquiring <strong>100% ownership<\/strong> of the <strong>royalty-free<\/strong> Wolverine Heavy Rare Earth Project and expects to close the acquisition any day now. Wolverine is a <strong class=\"hl\">23,050-hectare<\/strong> Heavy Rare Earth Element (HREE) project hosted within the <strong>Flowers River Igneous Suite<\/strong>: the <strong class=\"b\">#1 largest<\/strong> peralkaline intrusive body in all of Labrador. These are the same type of rocks as Canada&#8217;s <strong class=\"b\">#1 largest Rare Earth Element (REE) deposit<\/strong>: Strange Lake.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/flowersriver.jpg\" alt=\"Flowers River Igneous Suite\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Wolverine initially caught the attention of <span class=\"blu\">Altius Minerals (TSX: ALS)<\/span>, which since September 1998 has been the <strong class=\"b\">#1 best performing TSX listed mining stock<\/strong>, rising from <strong>$0.18<\/strong> to a new all-time high yesterday of <strong class=\"g\">$62.07 per share<\/strong> for a gain of <strong class=\"g\">34,383.33%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/altiuschart.jpg\" alt=\"Altius Minerals stock chart\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>ALS staked Wolverine in 2006 and at the time was calling it the <strong>Nuiklavik Project<\/strong>. ALS said in a 2009 press release regarding Nuiklavik (Wolverine): <em>&#8220;The metallogenic signature and geological setting resembles that of the <strong>Strange Lake REE deposit<\/strong> located 200 km to the northwest where an historical non 43-101 compliant resource of <strong>52 million tonnes<\/strong> of <strong>3.5% ZrO2<\/strong>, <strong>0.66% Y2O3<\/strong>, <strong>0.56% Nb2O5<\/strong>, and <strong>1.3% TREO<\/strong> was reported by the Iron Ore Company of Canada in 1983.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n    <p>The Strange Lake REE Project has grown significantly since then, becoming <strong class=\"b\">Canada&#8217;s #1 largest REE deposit<\/strong>. It is today owned by privately held <strong>Torngat Metals Ltd.<\/strong>, which is majority owned and funded by private equity giant <strong>Cerberus Capital Management<\/strong> \u2014 and Cerberus is majority owned by its founder, billionaire <strong>Stephen A. Feinberg<\/strong>, who currently serves as President Trump&#8217;s <span class=\"blu\">United States Deputy Secretary of War<\/span>. If Torngat Metals were publicly traded, its market cap would likely be <strong class=\"g\">several billion dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/stevefeinberg.jpg\" alt=\"Stephen A. Feinberg\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Strange Lake and Wolverine are both part of the same <strong>Greenland-Canadian Rare Earth Province<\/strong>, which holds some of the <strong class=\"b\">highest concentrations of heavy rare earths (HREEs) outside of China&#8217;s monopoly<\/strong>. This geological belt spans more than <strong>500 kilometers<\/strong> through Labrador and Greenland. Strange Lake&#8217;s future development hinges on a cross-border logistics plan where crushed ore is trucked over a proposed <strong>~180 km<\/strong> seasonal, single-lane access road crossing into Labrador, ending near the <strong>Anaktalak Bay (Voisey&#8217;s Bay)<\/strong> area.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/torngatmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/new-baseline-map-road.png\" alt=\"Torngat Metals baseline road map\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Voisey&#8217;s Bay is the location of Vale&#8217;s Voisey&#8217;s Bay nickel mine that was discovered by Robert Friedland&#8217;s Diamond Fields Resources in 1994, causing its market cap to rapidly increase from <strong>$6.2 million<\/strong> up to <strong class=\"g\">$4.68 billion<\/strong>. The macro case for heavy rare earths in 2026 is arguably <strong class=\"b\">more urgent<\/strong> than nickel was in 1993.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/diamondfieldslabradordiscovery.jpg\" alt=\"Diamond Fields Labrador discovery\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Wolverine is located only <strong class=\"hl\">12 km from tidewater<\/strong> and within the same regional infrastructure corridor as Vale&#8217;s Voisey&#8217;s Bay operation, providing a <strong class=\"g\">logistical advantage<\/strong> relative to remote rare earth projects like Strange Lake.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sagaree1.jpg\" alt=\"Saga REE project map\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>SAGA structured its acquisition of Wolverine in a way that <strong>minimizes the upfront cost<\/strong>, allowing SAGA to maximize near-term drilling at Canada&#8217;s most important new heavy rare earth discovery. This will allow for <strong class=\"g\">constant news flow and consistent nonstop catalysts<\/strong> not only throughout this summer but for the remainder of 2026 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagamilestonepayments.jpeg\" alt=\"Saga milestone payments\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>The Critical Metals (CRML) <strong>Tanbreez Project<\/strong> in Greenland currently has total resources of about <strong>170,000 t TREO (27% HREO)<\/strong> with a post-tax NPV of approximately <strong class=\"g\">$2.1 billion<\/strong>. All of SAGA&#8217;s milestone payments will be owed <strong>only after<\/strong> Wolverine surpasses the current resources of Tanbreez.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sagacrml.jpg\" alt=\"Saga vs CRML comparison\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>CRML has a current market cap of <strong class=\"g\">$1.48 billion<\/strong>, or <strong class=\"b\">42.36x higher than SAGA<\/strong> \u2014 and <strong>all<\/strong> of SAGA&#8217;s market cap is for its Radar Titanium Project, where the company has a <strong class=\"g\">100% perfect hit rate<\/strong> of drilling success. SAGA remains <strong class=\"b\">undiscovered<\/strong>, and the investment community has no idea that SAGA is about to become a Heavy Rare Earth exploration company with a project similar to both Strange Lake and Tanbreez in the same Greenland-Canadian Rare Earth Province.<\/p>\n\n    <p>Wolverine has demonstrated an average heavy rare earth oxide (HREO) contribution of approximately <strong class=\"hl\">28%<\/strong>, which is comparable to the Tanbreez Project of Critical Metals (CRML) having an average HREO contribution of approximately <strong>27%<\/strong>. China dominates global production of heavy rare earths, which are critical for <strong>advanced permanent magnets, military systems, drones, robotics, electric vehicles, aerospace technologies, and precision-guided weapons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/heavyree.jpeg\" alt=\"Heavy rare earth applications\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Wolverine has approximately <strong class=\"hl\">26 km\u00b2<\/strong> of exposed mineralized tuff at surface \u2014 <strong class=\"g\">more than double<\/strong> the surface footprint of Tanbreez and several times larger than the exposed mineralized area at Strange Lake.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagazones.jpg\" alt=\"Saga Wolverine zones\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Less than <strong class=\"b\">10%<\/strong> of Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>26 km\u00b2<\/strong> of mineralized surface footprint has been drill tested to date.<\/p>\n\n    <p>No drilling occurred at Wolverine until 2024, when several backpack drill holes confirmed the presence of <strong>high-grade REE mineralization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <p>The first significant Wolverine drilling occurred in <strong>2025<\/strong> with <strong>25 shallow RC drill holes<\/strong>. This initial 2025 drill program confirmed broad, near-surface REE mineralization across a <strong>1.7 km \u00d7 1.2 km area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sagaree2.jpg\" alt=\"Saga REE drilling area\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>2025 drilling achieved intercepts of up to <strong class=\"g\">48.8 meters at 0.78% TREO<\/strong> and peak grades exceeding <strong class=\"g\">2% TREO<\/strong> with heavy rare earth content of approximately <strong>28%<\/strong>. Mineralization remains <strong class=\"b\">open in all directions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sagaree3.jpg\" alt=\"Saga REE intercepts\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>The project has <strong>not yet been tested at depth<\/strong>. Other major rare earth deposits within the broader Labrador-Greenland peralkaline REE province have demonstrated mineralization extending <strong>hundreds of meters below surface<\/strong>, highlighting the importance of SAGA&#8217;s planned deeper drilling program.<\/p>\n\n    <p>Of the <strong>25 RC holes<\/strong> drilled in 2025, <strong class=\"g\">19 hit significant intercepts<\/strong> of REE mineralization. Based on cross-section models showcasing shallow-dipping stratigraphy from surface, the 6 holes that missed may have been too shallow and just needed to be deeper.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagacrosssection.jpg\" alt=\"Saga cross section\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>Multiple 2025 RC drill holes <strong>terminated in REE mineralization<\/strong> \u2014 oftentimes in the <strong class=\"b\">highest-grade REE mineralization of the hole<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <p>SAGA&#8217;s planned work in 2026 includes <strong>diamond core drilling<\/strong> to confirm vertical grade zonation, validate mineralization continuity, collect material for metallurgical testing, and verify REE host minerals; plus <strong>targeted step-out and deeper drilling<\/strong> designed to test the thickness of the enriched horizon, define the base of mineralization, and improve geological confidence.<\/p>\n\n    <p>Wolverine has favorable <strong>flat-lying geometry<\/strong> and is anticipated to have a <strong class=\"g\">low strip ratio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <p>SAGA recently expanded its Wolverine Project by acquiring <strong>1,350 hectares<\/strong> of additional claims and staking another <strong>5,050 hectares<\/strong> of claims to form a contiguous land package totaling approximately <strong class=\"hl\">29,450 hectares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/saganewspr1.png\" alt=\"Saga Wolverine expansion\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>The newly acquired Wolverine claims contain <strong>seven known REE showings<\/strong> with certified assays reaching <strong class=\"g\">21.6% TREO<\/strong>, hosted in highly evolved peralkaline pegmatites that formed from the final stages of the same magmatic system responsible for Wolverine&#8217;s main discovery. These high-grade showings provide SAGA with exposure to a <strong>second style of rare earth mineralization<\/strong> that could complement the project&#8217;s existing large-tonnage caldera-hosted resource potential while significantly expanding the overall exploration upside of the district.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n  <!-- ===== TITANIUM SECTION DIVIDER ===== -->\n  <div style=\"background: linear-gradient(135deg, #6b3f1f 0%, #3d2410 100%) !important; padding: 22px 26px !important; text-align: center !important; margin: 10px 0 !important;\">\n    <div style=\"color: #ffd9a8 !important; font-size: 14px !important; letter-spacing: 2px !important; text-transform: uppercase !important; font-weight: 700 !important;\">Second Flagship Asset<\/div>\n    <div style=\"color: #ffffff !important; font-size: 26px !important; font-weight: 900 !important; margin-top: 4px !important;\">Radar Titanium Project<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"sec\">\n\n    <p>SAGA also owns <strong>100%<\/strong> of the <span class=\"b\">Radar Titanium Project<\/span> in Labrador, totaling approximately <strong class=\"hl\">24,175 hectares<\/strong>, and entirely encloses the <strong>Dykes River intrusive complex<\/strong>, mapped at <strong>160 km\u00b2<\/strong> on the surface.<\/p>\n\n    <p>SAGA&#8217;s latest reported drill hole at the Radar Titanium Project, <strong>R-0046<\/strong>, intercepted <strong class=\"g\">54 meters of 8.78% TiO2 and 0.415% V2O5<\/strong> \u2014 making it the <strong class=\"b\">#1 highest grade titanium intercept at Trapper South<\/strong> to date and the <strong class=\"b\">#3 highest grade titanium intercept<\/strong> at SAGA&#8217;s Radar Titanium Project to date. In addition, this same drill hole also intercepted <strong>65.1 meters of 5.90% TiO2 and 0.316% V2O5<\/strong> plus another <strong>20.6 meters of 7.46% TiO2 and 0.426% V2O5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagajune11thpr4.jpg\" alt=\"Saga R-0046 drill results\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>SAGA has a total of <strong>11 pending<\/strong> Radar Titanium Project Trapper Zone drill holes to be reported shortly. The soon-to-be-reported SAGA drill hole <strong>R-0053<\/strong> intercepted <strong class=\"g\">202.3 meters of oxide layering<\/strong> \u2014 the most of any drill hole at SAGA&#8217;s Radar Titanium Project to date.<\/p>\n\n    <p>SAGA has confirmed mineralization in <strong class=\"g\">57 out of 57 drill holes<\/strong> completed to date at the Radar Titanium Project.<\/p>\n\n    <p>SAGA&#8217;s <strong class=\"b\">Maiden Resource Estimate<\/strong> for the Radar Titanium Project is coming soon, focused on the Trapper Zone where <strong>11,600 meters<\/strong> have been drilled to date in <strong>50 drill holes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagajune11thpr2.jpg\" alt=\"Saga Trapper Zone\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>The only other publicly traded titanium company to make a recent new discovery and establish a maiden resource estimate has been <span class=\"blu\">Empire Metals (LSE: EEE)<\/span>, with its share price up by <strong class=\"g\">3,777.97%<\/strong> in recent years:<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/empiremetalslongterm.jpg\" alt=\"Empire Metals long term chart\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>SAGA has confirmed a <strong class=\"hl\">29.0 km\u00b2 central oxide corridor<\/strong> that encompasses the <strong>Trapper, Falcon and Hawkeye Zones<\/strong>, demonstrating <strong class=\"b\">district-scale potential<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagajune11thpr1.jpg\" alt=\"Saga central oxide corridor\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>SAGA has identified <strong>additional targets<\/strong> located to the west and north of the 29.0 km\u00b2 central oxide corridor.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"fig\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inflation.us\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sagajune11thpr5.jpg\" alt=\"Saga additional targets\"><\/div>\n\n    <p>The Radar Titanium Project is well serviced by <strong>road access<\/strong> and is conveniently located near the town of <strong>Cartwright, Labrador<\/strong>, with strong support from the local government. Robyn Howell, the Mayor of Cartwright, has said: <em>&#8220;The town of Cartwright fully supports Saga Metals in their exploration efforts and analysis aiming to identify an ore deposit near Cartwright and in Labrador in general. The town will help in whatever way it can to support Saga Metals in its efforts.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n    <p>Additional infrastructure available to the Radar Titanium Project includes a <strong>deep-water port<\/strong>, <strong>nearby hydro-electric power<\/strong>, and a <strong>regional airport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <p>VTM mineralization at Radar is comparable to that of global Fe-Ti-V systems such as <strong>Panzhihua (China)<\/strong> and <strong>Bushveld (South Africa)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <p>SAGA has a strong relationship with <span class=\"blu\">Rio Tinto<\/span> and recently acquired a <strong>100% stake<\/strong> in their <strong>6,450.54-hectare Garneau Project<\/strong> in Quebec. SAGA acquired Garneau directly from Rio Tinto, and the project is located in the same anorthosite complex as Rio Tinto&#8217;s world-class <strong>Lac Tio mine<\/strong> \u2014 one of the highest-grade hard rock titanium operations globally. Not only does Garneau&#8217;s geophysical signature display a basin-like morphology directly comparable to Lac Tio, but a massive, ilmenite-rich boulder returning a sample of <strong class=\"g\">32.4% TiO2<\/strong> was discovered on the property. On June 14th, the Shanghai Metals Market issued a report: <em>&#8220;Taineng Chemical has issued a price adjustment notice. Effective June 5, 2026, the sales prices of all grades of titanium dioxide will be increased: domestic customers will see a price increase of <strong>1,000 yuan per ton<\/strong>, and international customers will see a price increase of <strong>150 US dollars per ton<\/strong>.
