It was announced this weekend that China is not only cutting off<\/span> heavy rare earth exports<\/strong> to the U.S., but China has extended<\/span><\/strong> its export curbs<\/span><\/strong> of heavy rare earths<\/strong> to Japan. According to a brand-new<\/span> Reuters article<\/strong> published last night (click here to read<\/strong><\/a>), “There have been no<\/span> shipments to Japan of terbium or dysprosium oxide since November and only tiny<\/span> shipments of yttrium oxide since December, Chinese customs data for May released on Saturday showed.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

SAGA<\/strong> is about to close<\/strong><\/span> on its acquisition<\/strong><\/span> of the Wolverine Heavy Rare Earth Project<\/strong> in the upcoming days and will launch<\/strong><\/span> its maiden<\/span> drill program<\/strong> at Wolverine<\/strong> this summer. All signs point to Wolverine<\/strong> being rich<\/strong><\/span> in yttrium<\/strong> with 26 km² of exposed mineralized tuff at surface<\/strong><\/span> of which less than 10%<\/strong><\/span> was drilled<\/strong><\/span> in last year’s initial shallow early pass<\/strong><\/span> RC drill program<\/strong> of 25 holes<\/strong> that confirmed<\/strong><\/span> broad, near-surface REE mineralization across a 1.7 km × 1.2 km area<\/strong> hosted within a significant peralkaline caldera system. SAGA<\/strong> has already acquired additional<\/strong><\/span> claims<\/strong> of a directly adjacent<\/strong><\/span> property<\/strong> where surface showings<\/strong> contain high grades<\/strong><\/span> of terbium<\/strong> and dysprosium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

NIA’s #1 favorite <\/strong><\/span>gold stock<\/strong><\/span> at this time is Westward Gold (CSE: WG)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Westward Gold (CSE: WG)’s Toiyabe Hills Project<\/strong> is directly adjacent<\/strong><\/span> to Barrick’s Nevada Cortez Complex<\/strong>. Today’s news is significant<\/strong><\/span> because Westward<\/strong> has launched<\/strong><\/span> the first of three drill rigs<\/strong> targeting<\/strong><\/span> the SSD Zone<\/strong>, where geologists<\/strong> have identified<\/span> features<\/strong> that are distinctly reminiscent<\/strong><\/span> of the surface geology<\/strong> above Barrick’s Fourmile Project<\/strong>, including silica alteration<\/strong> and quartz porphyry hosted mineralization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

WG’s most recent SSD Zone drilling<\/strong> in late-2022\/early-2023<\/strong> intersected high-grade<\/strong><\/span> gold mineralization<\/strong><\/span>… causing WG<\/strong> shares to soar by 300%<\/strong><\/span> to an April 2023 high<\/span><\/strong> of $0.20 per share<\/strong> back when gold<\/strong><\/span> was less than<\/span> $2,000 per oz<\/span><\/strong>.
