When the Fraser Institute’s brand new <\/span>report<\/strong> was released on February 25, 2020, it sent shockwaves<\/span><\/strong> throughout the Canadian mining industry<\/strong>! For the first time in 10 years, not a single <\/strong><\/span>Canadian jurisdiction<\/strong> ranked among the top 10<\/span><\/strong> for investment attractiveness<\/span><\/strong> to mining executives<\/strong> and investors<\/strong>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In addition, Nevada’s ranking<\/strong> declined<\/span><\/strong> from being the #1 ranked<\/strong><\/span> to the #3 ranked<\/strong><\/span> mining jurisdiction<\/strong> in the world! In recent weeks, we have done research on every Idaho gold stock<\/span><\/strong> and have decided to announce Idaho Champion Gold Mines Canada Inc. (CSE: ITKO)<\/strong> currently $0.085 per share<\/strong> as our new #1 favorite<\/span> gold stock suggestion<\/span><\/strong>. One week ago, ITKO<\/strong> announced that it successfully closed<\/strong><\/span> on an oversubscribed<\/span> non-brokered private placement<\/strong>, where it successfully raised<\/span> total proceeds<\/strong> of $1,204,187<\/strong> at a price of $0.08 per share<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

ITKO<\/strong> following its private placement now has 63,837,206 shares outstanding<\/b> for a current market cap<\/strong> at $0.085 per share<\/strong> of CAD$5.426 million<\/strong><\/span> or USD$3.9 million<\/span><\/strong>. Insiders<\/strong> control approximately 55%<\/strong><\/span> of ITKO’s shares outstanding<\/strong>. In fact, five separate<\/span> ITKO insiders<\/strong> purchased shares<\/strong><\/span> in the company’s private placement<\/strong>, with insiders<\/strong> buying<\/span><\/strong> $224,364.40<\/strong><\/span> worth of their own stock!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

ITKO<\/strong> owns 100%<\/strong><\/span> of the Baner Gold Project<\/strong>, which is located near Elk City, Idaho County, Idaho in the middle of the Orogrande Shear Zone<\/strong>. In November 2018, ITKO<\/strong> completed<\/strong><\/span> a 19 hole drilling program totaling nearly 5,200 metres<\/strong>, and the company hit<\/span> mineralization<\/strong> on every<\/span> hole<\/strong>! ITKO<\/strong> discovered multiple near-surface <\/b><\/span>high-grade<\/span> gold <\/span>intercepts<\/span><\/strong>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Beginning only<\/span> 8.65m down hole<\/strong>, ITKO’s drill hole ICG2018-13<\/strong> intercepted<\/strong><\/span> 5.76 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 12.65m<\/strong>! In fact, this same drill hole<\/strong> also intercepted<\/strong><\/span> 9.02 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 2m<\/strong> beginning only<\/span> 32.2m down hole<\/strong>! ITKO’s drill hole ICG2018-8<\/strong> intercepted extremely high grades <\/strong><\/span>of <\/strong>8.66 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 6.30m! ITKO’s drill hole ICG2018-16 achieved two<\/span><\/strong> high grade intercepts <\/strong><\/span>of <\/strong>6.55 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 2.90m <\/strong>and 4.80 g\/t gold<\/span> over 5.90m! ITKO’s drill hole ICG2018-19 <\/strong>intercepted<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong>5.85 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 2m <\/strong>beginning only<\/span> 89m down hole<\/strong>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

ITKO<\/strong> also discovered additional <\/strong><\/span>wide intercepts<\/strong><\/span> of near-surface<\/span> gold<\/span><\/strong> including drill hole ICG2018-9<\/strong> intercepting<\/strong><\/span> 1.32 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 12.80m<\/strong> beginning only<\/span> 47m down hole<\/strong>! In addition, ITKO’s <\/strong>drill hole ICG2018-1<\/strong> intercepted<\/strong><\/span> 1.39 g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 18m<\/strong> beginning only<\/span> 83m down hole<\/strong>! Finally, ITKO’s drill hole ICG2018-14 <\/strong>intercepted<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong>0.68g\/t gold<\/strong><\/span> over 11.50m <\/strong>beginning only<\/span> 14.50m down hole <\/strong>and 2.27 g\/t gold<\/span> over 11m <\/strong>beginning only<\/span> 58m down hole!<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Every other<\/span> gold exploration company<\/span><\/strong> we follow that is currently trading at a valuation<\/span><\/strong> of less than<\/span> USD$4 million<\/span><\/strong>… doesn’t<\/span> yet own<\/span><\/strong> their flagship<\/span> gold project<\/span><\/strong>, but has merely entered into an option agreement<\/strong> that will require significant dilution<\/strong> <\/span>before they can ever complete the acquisition<\/span><\/strong> of the property… and even then the prior owner almost always keeps a large royalty<\/strong><\/span> covering any future production<\/strong><\/span>, which reduces<\/span><\/strong> a gold project’s<\/span> net present value (NPV)<\/span><\/strong> and can become a major financial burden<\/span><\/strong> in the future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Not only does ITKO<\/strong> already own 100%<\/strong><\/span> of its Baner Gold Project<\/strong> but there are absolutely no<\/strong><\/span> NSR royalties owed to anybody<\/strong>. This means ITKO<\/strong> will have the ability in the future to consider selling<\/strong><\/span> an NSR royalty<\/strong> on its own, which could help finance<\/strong><\/span> future<\/strong><\/span> project development <\/b>costs<\/b><\/span> without as much dilution\/debt<\/strong><\/span>. In actuality, we don’t picture ITKO<\/strong> ever bringing<\/strong><\/span> Baner<\/strong> into production<\/strong><\/span> on its own. In our opinion, a future exit<\/strong><\/span> to a major<\/span> Canadian gold producer<\/span><\/strong> looking to expand their business<\/strong><\/span> into the world’s hottest<\/strong><\/span> and most rapidly improving<\/strong><\/span> mining jurisdiction<\/strong> is a much more likely scenario<\/strong><\/span> to occur. For a major<\/span> gold producer<\/span> looking to acquire<\/span> a near-surface<\/span>, high grade<\/span> gold project<\/span>… having no NSR royalties<\/span> immediately makes a project many times more attractive<\/span> than a project that will owe NSR royalties<\/span> on future <\/span>gold <\/span>production<\/span>!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Already, some of the world’s largest<\/span> gold miners<\/span><\/strong> are beginning to focus their attention<\/strong><\/span> on Idaho<\/strong>! We are only two weeks removed<\/strong> from the release of the<\/strong> new Fraser Institute report<\/b>, which upgraded<\/strong><\/span> Idaho <\/b>to being the <\/b>#8 ranked<\/span> mining jurisdiction <\/strong>in the world and already Centerra Gold (TSX: CG)<\/strong> a CAD$2.5 billion<\/strong><\/span> Canadian gold miner<\/span><\/strong> announced this week that it is optioning<\/strong><\/span> from Otis Gold (TSXV: OOO)<\/strong> a gold exploration project<\/strong><\/span> in Idaho<\/strong> called Oakley<\/strong>. OOO<\/strong> itself is currently being acquired<\/strong><\/span> by the Mexican gold<\/span>\/silver miner<\/strong> Excellon Resources (TSX: EXN) <\/strong>because Mexico<\/strong> is having even bigger problems<\/strong><\/span> than Canada<\/strong>. Mexico<\/strong> on the new<\/span> Fraser Institute list<\/strong> is now officially the #38 ranked<\/span> mining jurisdiction<\/strong> in the world down from being<\/strong><\/span> the #29 ranked<\/span> mining jurisdiction<\/strong> one year ago!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
