You probably all heard about the May 2nd IPO<\/strong> of Beyond Meat (BYND)<\/strong>, which raised<\/span><\/em> $240.625 million<\/strong> at $25 per share<\/strong> but immediately gapped up by $21 or 84%<\/strong><\/em><\/span> to open  May 2nd at $46 per share<\/strong> and finished its first day up $40.75 or 163%<\/strong><\/em><\/span> to $65.75 per share<\/strong>. Two weeks later, BYND peaked at a high<\/span> of $96.78 per share up 287.12%<\/span> from its IPO price – with its market cap reaching<\/span> $5.56 billion or 63X <\/span>its trailing twelve month revenue<\/span> of $87.93 million.<\/strong><\/em> After dipping 20.69%<\/em><\/strong><\/span> to a low on Monday of $76.76 per share, it immediately bounced by $5.34 or 6.96%<\/strong><\/em><\/span> to close yesterday at $82.10 per share<\/strong> and is rallying big<\/span> once again<\/em><\/strong> this morning!<\/span><\/div>\n\n

BYND<\/strong> has developed a way to produce<\/span> meat directly from<\/em><\/span> plants without killing<\/span> any animals<\/strong>. Carl’s Jr<\/strong> has just launched<\/strong><\/em><\/span> a Beyond Burger<\/strong> using BYND’s plant-based<\/span> meat<\/strong> and it looks and tastes exactly like<\/em><\/span> a hamburger made with real meat<\/strong>. Although BYND<\/strong> is extremely overvalued<\/strong><\/span> and we wouldn’t buy the stock<\/span> under any circumstances<\/span><\/strong>, BYND<\/strong> represents the beginning<\/strong><\/em><\/span> of a major new trend<\/strong><\/span> that threatens<\/strong><\/span> the beef industry<\/strong>! Already, the beef industry is suing<\/span> BYND to remove<\/span> the word meat from their plant-based<\/span> foods, with the U.S. Cattlemen’s Association filing a 15-page petition<\/span> with the USDA requesting that it define the word “meat” so that it cannot be used<\/span> to label products that do not contain<\/span> animal flesh!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/div>\n\n

With BYND<\/strong> having the most successful<\/span> IPO of the decade<\/strong>, private competitor Impossible Foods<\/strong> on May 13th announced a new $300 million<\/span> venture captial round of funding<\/strong> and Burger King<\/strong> just announced that it will begin offering<\/strong><\/em><\/span> the Impossible Burger<\/strong>!<\/span><\/div>\n\n

How are these companies making<\/span> their plant-based<\/span> meat?<\/strong><\/em> Using pea protein<\/strong>, but there is a major shortage<\/strong><\/span> of this important<\/span> raw material<\/strong>. NIA has discovered a company Burcon Nutrascience (TSX: BU)<\/strong> that has dozens of patents<\/span> covering all of the most efficient<\/span> methods for extracting<\/em><\/span> protein from peas<\/strong> and the company has just entered into a major joint-venture agreement<\/strong><\/span> to build<\/em><\/span> one of the world’s largest<\/span> pea and canola protein production facilities<\/span><\/strong>. It will initially process<\/em> 20,000 tonnes of peas per year<\/strong><\/span> starting in mid-2020 to produce<\/strong><\/em><\/span> BU’s Peazazz® and Peazac™ pea proteins<\/strong>, as well as BU’s Supertein®, Puratein® and Nutratein® canola proteins<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n\n

BU is a steal here<\/span> at $0.80 per share and we believe will become a $2-3 per share stock<\/span> by year-end! Along with AHG, we believe BU will become one of the largest gainers<\/span> of the month of June!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/div>\n\n
