Gold Record Gain for Second Consecutive Day!

On the evening of Sunday, March 15, 2020 after the Federal Reserve lowered the Fed Funds Rate to ZERO and announced $700 BILLION in new QE, which will increase its balance sheet to a record $5 TRILLION... NIA sent out an alert predicting, "Gold is about to make its largest short-term rally in history!"

Gold started off this week by gaining $83 on Monday to settle at $1,567 per oz for its largest single day dollar gain in history! Yesterday, gold gained another $93.20 to settle at $1,660.20 per oz for another record single day dollar gain!

Over the last two trading days, gold has gained by $176.20 or 11.87%! This has been gold's #1 largest two-day dollar gain and #9 largest two-day percentage gain in history! The last time that gold made a two-day gain of over 11.87% was 11 1/2 years ago on September 18, 2008 when gold achieved a two-day gain of $116.10 or 14.94% to settle at $893.20 per oz.

For the first time since January 16, 1980, gold has set new record dollar gains on two consecutive trading days! When it last occurred 40+ years ago in January 1980, it was part of gold making its most significant rally in history. Between January 10, 1980 and January 21, 1980, gold gained by $231 or 38.3% to $834 per oz, achieving its largest 7-day dollar and percentage gain in history!

Back on Thursday, January 10, 1980 gold settled at $603 per oz. On Friday, January 11, 1980, gold gained by $25 to settle at $628 per oz. On Monday, January 14, 1980, gold once again gained by $25 to settle at a new all-time high of $653 per oz. On Tuesday, January 15, 1980, gold gained by $37.50 to settle at a new all-time high of $690.50 per oz setting a new record single day dollar gain. On Wednesday, January 16, 1980, gold gained by $50 to settle at a new all-time high of $740.50 per oz setting a new record single day dollar gain for the second consecutive trading day. On Thursday, January 17, 1980, gold once again gained by $50 to settle at a new all-time high of $790.50 per oz. On Friday, January 18, 1980, gold gained by $32.50 to settle at a new all-time high of $823 per oz. On Monday, January 21, 1980, gold gained by $11 to settle at a new all-time high of $834 per oz.
