NIA Warned About Frank Giustra’s Argenta Silver

Update: Our August 31 Warning on Argenta Silver vs. Minaurum Was Correct

On August 31, NIA issued a cautionary alert regarding Frank Giustra’s Argenta Silver (TSXV: AGAG), explaining why we believed Minaurum Gold (TSXV: MGG) offered a far superior riskreward profile .

The chart above shows what has happened since our warning:

Minaurum Gold (TSXV: MGG): +29.51%
Argenta Silver (TSXV: AGAG): -11.49%
Performance gap: ~41 percentage points

This divergence is not random: it reflects the fundamental differences we highlighted in our August 31 analysis (click here to read NIA’s August 31st alert).

Why the market is starting to agree with our analysis:

  • Giustra has done some world-class deals… but he has also been involved with more promotional type of plays.
  • A real example was Los Filos in Mexico (later sold to Equinox Gold), which became one of the largest gold mines in Mexico. Los Filos was originally discovered by David M. Jones, co-founder of Minaurum Gold (TSXV: MGG).
  • By contrast, Argenta’s El Quevar has raised red flags: complex sulphosalt mineralogy and reported impurities like arsenic, antimony, and bismuth, which can lead to smelter penalties and recovery challenges.

Why Minaurum continues to separate itself:

  • Metallurgical recoveries of up to 94% silver and 96% gold.
  • Minaurum’s flagship Alamos Silver Project is fully permitted.
  • Minaurum signed 29-year extendable ejido agreements covering 100% of the core project area with unanimous approval.

Bottom line: Our August 31 warning wasn’t about personalities: it was about economics, metallurgy, permitting, and realism.
