Important NIA Gold Update

Gold is reacting very favorably to the Democrats sweeping last night up $120 to $4,050 per oz. When gold was $4,688 per oz on May 6th NIA sent out an alert about how Peter Schiff set a year-end price target of $6,500 per oz, but NIA predicted a pullback to $3,800 per oz was likely to happen prior to gold reaching $6,500 per oz. Gold hit a low of $3,870 per oz a few days ago.

We would rather own gold than Apple (AAPL) at a P/E of 42 or Nvidia (NVDA) with its artificial CoreWeave (CRWV) inflated earnings. VOO shares outstanding are up another 18% over the last twelve months vs. GLD shares outstanding flat. Where would AAPL and NVDA be trading without a permanent bid from zombies buying VOO regardless of valuation? The hero of Fire Movement investors John Bogle said gold is not an investment, and this is why nobody owns it… everybody owns VOO!

GLD shares outstanding are nowhere near 2012 and 2020 highs. We suspect at some point in the next 12-24 months GLD shares outstanding will surpass its 2012 and 2020 levels and reach new all-time highs and that is when $6,500 per oz gold will likely become possible.

The U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) peaked at 102.945 on October 14th and is back down to 101.486 today but remains very elevated. The DXY is much more likely to be lower a year from now than higher, and a lower DXY almost always results in higher gold prices.

Even if gold trades sideways, recent acquisitions of U.S. gold projects have been for approximately $75 per oz equal to 1.85% of the current gold price. In a bubble similar to 2007 or 2011 we would see average North American gold projects being acquired for 7%-10% of the gold price or $283-$405 per oz.

Almost no retail investors invested into any natural resource stocks at the 2023-2024 lows and very few entered during the 2025 rally, but many retail investors chased natural resource stocks higher and entered for the first time at the January 2026 highs. Anybody who bought in January 2026 and wants to exit TSX Venture natural resource stocks at a loss will sell within the next six weeks and all selling pressure will be gone by the final week of December. The final week of December is historically the largest up week of the year for TSX Venture stocks, but we are likely to see a more gradual move up in January (not a large spike up) that will continue into February/March mainly from a lack of selling not necessarily a rush to buy.

Total Metals (TSXV: TT) is finally drilling at the project we like. Its market cap at $0.22 per share is US$9.32 million and they are currently drilling at the High Lake High-Grade Gold Project in Northwestern Ontario that it acquired from McFarlane Lake Mining (CSE: MLM).

We don’t know what took so long but it is severely beaten down right now. The High Lake High-Grade Gold Project in Northwestern Ontario has a current NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate of:

• Indicated Resource: 152,000 tonnes grading 9.38 g/t gold, containing 45,800 ounces of gold.
• Inferred Resource: 287,000 tonnes grading 10.43 g/t gold, containing 96,200 ounces of gold.

Between 2022-2024, McFarlane Lake Mining (CSE: MLM) drilled 20,400m across 79 holes at High Lake with results like 24.96 g/t Au over 14.90 meters (including 43.22 g/t Au over 7.99 meters) in drill hole MLHL-22-06.

Total Metals (TSXV: TT) also acquired from MLM the adjacent West Hawk Lake Gold Project just across the border in Manitoba with a total historical mineral resource estimate from 1983 of 457,000 tonnes grading 13.97 g/t gold, containing 204,200 ounces of gold.

We are currently writing a full in-depth report on Medicure (TSXV: MPH) explaining how their upcoming FDA approval of MC-1 was a 30-year journey and the company has achieved a $150-$200 million market cap on multiple occasions over the decades so getting back to there in the upcoming months will be very easy. We believe MPH will reach new all-time high market caps in the upcoming months.

Past performance is not an indicator of future returns. NIA is not an investment advisor and does not provide investment advice. Always do your own research and make your own investment decisions. NIA’s President has purchased 87,000 shares of MPH and intends to buy more shares. NIA has received compensation from TT of US$100,000 cash for a twelve-month marketing contract and previously received $100,000 cash for a twelve-month marketing contract which has since expired.
