Early Signs of Titanium Industry Breakout
NIA’s #1 favorite overall stock suggestion Saga Metals (TSXV: SAGA) gained by 9.28% on Friday to $0.53 per share and gained by 21.84% for the week. SAGA will soon be releasing its maiden resource estimate for the Radar Critical Minerals Project in Labrador, which is rich in titanium, vanadium, and iron, with very consistent intercepts (100% hit rate in 2026 drilling) and strong continuity. SAGA has a close relationship with Rio Tinto.
When SAGA announced its agreement to acquire the Wolverine Heavy Rare Earth Project in Labrador, we coincidentally had already spent countless weeks researching every REE property across the entire Labrador–Greenland alkaline/peralkaline REE province… and we immediately knew it was acquiring a project with the potential to surpass the Tanbreez Project of Critical Metals (CRML), which gained by 32.06% this week to a market cap of US$1.065 billion.
SAGA is extremely undervalued from Radar alone and is currently receiving zero value for Wolverine, which we believe is the most value-creative acquisition any company has made in 2026. It hasn’t been priced in yet, but drilling begins at Wolverine one week from today!
The #1 largest titanium exploration company Empire Metals (LSE: EEE) finished this week up by 24.29% to a new 10-month high with a market cap of US$485.40 million. Its Pitfield Project in Australia features a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) totaling 2.2 billion tonnes grading 5.1% TiO2.
For SAGA to reach a new 10-month high like EEE, SAGA will need to surpass $0.98 per share. We believe SAGA’s mineral resource estimate will compare very favorably to EEE, especially considering SAGA’s low market cap, because its average drill hole contains higher grades of TiO2 while the vanadium and iron add significantly to the project’s overall potential. EEE has no vanadium or iron. Both EEE and SAGA have large-scale projects that will continue to grow.
TiO2 chemical company Kronos Worldwide (KRO) shocked Wall Street with extremely strong 2Q results on Thursday, rising by 32.53% in a single day. KRO gained by 41.36% this week to a new 17-month high, which is a very good sign for companies with TiO2 exploration projects.
Temas Resources (CSE: TMAS) has an inferred resource at the Farrell-Taylor deposit of its La Blache Project in Quebec of 208.5 million tonnes grading 12.3% TiO2, 0.2% V2O5, and 41.5% Fe2O3, equal to 16.7% TiO2Eq*. Although EEE’s Pitfield resource has 10.55x more total tonnes, TMAS has significantly higher TiO2 grades, and after including vanadium and iron, its TiO2Eq grade is 3.27x higher than EEE.
TMAS is most valuable for its patented RCL technology, which allows mining companies to achieve the highest possible recoveries of not only titanium, vanadium, and iron… but it also works for gold/silver, nickel, rare earths, and chromium.
*TiO2Eq based on US$2,200/t TiO2, US$14,200/t V2O5 and US$125/t Fe2O3 and the metallurgical recovery assumptions outlined in the La Blache NI 43-101 Technical Report.
