Copper Soaring and TSX Venture Bouncing from Extreme Low
Copper is soaring this morning, and we are beginning to see the TSX Venture Composite Index bounce from an extreme low. NIA loves copper exploration stocks and it loves Medicure (TSXV: MPH), which is by far the stock we are most confident about outside of the natural resource sector. MPH will breakout deep into double-digits in the very near-future… we promise you that!
GSP Resource (TSXV: GSPR) with a current market cap of US$3.3 million announced today that it has discovered a second gold-bearing polymetallic zone at its Alwin Mine Project in British Columbia, adjacent to Teck Resources' Highland Valley Copper Mine. The company's latest drilling intersected 3.02 metres grading 3.01% copper, 1.11 g/t gold, and 60.68 g/t silver (4.46% copper equivalent) in hole AM-26-05, along with 6.54 metres grading 0.80% copper, 0.67 g/t gold, and 6.02 g/t silver (1.35% copper equivalent) in hole AM-26-03, including a high-grade interval of 5.22 g/t gold over 0.67 metres. GSPR has now identified two distinct gold-bearing horizons across at least five drill holes, suggesting potential to expand the project's mineral resources beyond its existing 34.6 million pounds of inferred copper resources. GSPR is still awaiting assay results from four additional drill holes at its Mer Porphyry Copper Target, located 1.5 kilometres northwest of Alwin and approximately 6 kilometres west of Teck's Valley Pit. These represent the first drill holes at Mer since 1971, with results expected in the coming weeks. Here's the thing… even if the Alwin Mine Project didn't have high-grade copper and gold, just the location makes the claims valuable because Teck is expanding in that direction.
Ameriwest Critical Metals (CSE: AWCM) is breaking out big this morning, up 15.79% to $0.22 per share. Its current market cap is only US$6.25 million, and in NIA's opinion they have the #1 best high-grade copper project in the United States today.
NIA mentioned six days ago regarding BCM Resources (TSXV: B) at $0.65 per share that, "We are hearing from the smartest industry insiders that their porphyry discovery in Utah could have potential to be one of the largest in state history." BCM has gained by 13.85% since NIA's October 21st alert to a current price of $0.74 per share.
