Hero A-10 Pilot Saved by Titanium Bathtub
🚨 BREAKING: Iran Reportedly Shoots Down Two U.S. Military Aircraft
Iran reportedly shot down two U.S. military aircraft on Friday… a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle and a Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II (aka the “Warthog”). These are not America’s most advanced fighters, such as the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, which is composed of roughly 40% titanium by weight.
The A-10’s pilot likely survived because of one of the most unique design features in military aviation: its titanium “bathtub.” This armored enclosure… approximately 1.5 inches thick… surrounds the cockpit, shielding both the pilot and critical flight-control systems.
If you look at ATI, Inc. (ATI) hitting new all-time highs in recent months, it has already priced in President Trump ramping up production of U.S. fighter jets. However, ATI no longer produces titanium sponge… it all gets imported… and most titanium sponge is produced in China and Russia, with Japan being the largest friendly producer, yet Japan sources all of its titanium ore from China.
ATI produces high-margin titanium products for fighter jets. Now that ATI has been repriced, the rest of the titanium supply chain is likely to be re-rated next.
Saga Metals (TSXV: SAGA) recently made North America’s only brand-new high-grade titanium discovery with 22 drill holes currently pending.
It is similar to how Nvidia (NVDA) with its high margins became the largest gainer in the market… but now undiscovered companies in the AI semiconductor supply chain like Trio-Tech International (TRT) are about to be re-rated next.
⭐ Saga Metals (TSXV: SAGA) and Trio-Tech International (TRT) rank among the most important discoveries of our careers.
