Homeland Nickel Accelerates Oregon Nickel Projects by Nearly One Year

We told you exactly one week ago when Talon Metals (TSX: TLO) gained by 36.48% in one week that the real story is Homeland Nickel (TSXV: SHL).

Talon’s Tamarack Nickel Project in Minnesota has an indicated resource of 8.56 million tonnes grading 1.73% nickel for 326 million pounds of nickel, plus an inferred resource of 8.46 million tonnes grading 0.83% nickel for 154 million pounds of nickel. However, between Cleopatra and Red Flat… Homeland Nickel (TSXV: SHL) has total historical resources of approximately 1.05 billion pounds of nickel!

Homeland Nickel (TSXV: SHL) announced yesterday that it is advancing both of its Oregon nickel projects toward drilling, updated resources, and preliminary economic studies much faster than previously expected, while also completing a C$3.04 million financing.

At Red Flat, the U.S. Forest Service has accepted Homeland’s Plan of Operation for sonic drilling. It now moves through NEPA environmental evaluation and cultural review, with field work already completed. Management hopes to begin and complete the sonic drilling program in October, subject to crew availability. At Cleopatra, a revised Plan of Operation is expected to be submitted to the Forest Service next week.

Homeland has recompiled and recovered the historical exploration database for both projects. Its Qualified Person believes there is now enough information to prepare updated Mineral Resource Estimates without additional field work or repeating historical auger drilling. Management says it doesn’t expect the new resource estimates to differ substantially from the historical work, but updating them to modern reporting standards clears an important regulatory step.

This means Homeland can move much more quickly toward economic studies. Red Flat is being advanced toward a NI 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for Canadian disclosure, while Cleopatra will receive an SK-1300 Initial Assessment Report suitable for U.S. SEC disclosure, which is intended to assist Patriot Nickel with a planned U.S. exchange listing. Homeland says one or both preliminary economic studies could be completed during Q4 2026… roughly one year ahead of schedule!

Homeland has moved Red Flat substantially closer to October drilling, unlocked updated resource estimates for both Red Flat and Cleopatra without needing additional resource-definition field work, and could now reach preliminary economic studies roughly a year earlier than planned, backed by a newly completed C$3.04 million financing.
