NIA Issues Warning on Greenland Energy (GLND) and Greenland Mines (GRML)
It has come to NIA's attention that a newly listed SPAC deal Greenland Energy (GLND) gained by 140% yesterday and is up another 10% today. It went public only six months ago at $10 per share and had already declined by 88% to a closing price on Friday of $1.20 per share. GLND had $37.42 million in cash as of June 30th vs. a market cap at Friday's close of $52.48 million for a low enterprise value at $1.20 per share of only $15.05 million.
After GLND's gain of 152.5% this week to $3.03 per share its market cap is now $132.50 million for an enterprise value of $95.08 million. GLND hasn't yet discovered any oil yet trades at a higher valuation than Energy Transition Minerals (ASX: ETM) which owns the western world's #1 largest Rare Earth Element deposit in Greenland and Europe's #1 largest tin mine in Spain.
It has come to NIA's attention that Greenland Mines (GRML) gained by 230% on Monday and is up another 68% today. This was a SPAC deal that went public in June 2024 as ANEW Medical. After losing 90% of its value within three months of its listing, it changed its name in September 2024 to Klotho Neurosciences to "better align its brand identity with its patented Klotho gene technology therapies."
Back on June 9, 2025, Klotho gained by 787.80% in a single day after issuing a press release entitled 'Klotho Neurosciences Announces Pre-Clinical Success in Anti-Aging Therapy Using AAV-Delivered s-KL' claiming that "increasing Klotho gene expression could simultaneously reduce age-associated degeneration across multiple organs, thereby extending both life and health span."
Despite their apparent "huge success" in the gene therapy business, Klotho recently changed its name to Greenland Mines (GRML) and did a 1 for 50 reverse split. It has shifted its focus from developing a treatment for ALS, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease, to Rare Earth Elements.
NIA strongly suggests to never invest in any company that goes public in a SPAC transaction.
