Look at this chart of gold vs. its 7-year rate of change and the 3-year moving average of its 7-year rate of change.
When the black line (7-year rate of change) surpasses the red line (3-year MA of 7-year ROC), it is time to buy gold and continue accumulating on dips until the black line falls below the red line.
