Celtic Could Win £40M Windfall on Tuesday
Celtic plc (LSE: CCP) could win a £40 million windfall on Tuesday for a company with a current enterprise value of only £146.36 million. On Tuesday at 3pm ET is the second leg of Celtic's UEFA Champions League playoff round vs. LASK, the champions of Austria. Celtic won the first leg last week at Celtic Park 3-0. If Celtic win on Tuesday in Austria, they will immediately qualify for the UEFA Champions League, winning a guaranteed minimum of £40 million. Even if Celtic draw LASK on Tuesday, they will still qualify and win £40 million. Even if LASK defeat Celtic on Tuesday by a score of 2-0, Celtic will still qualify and win £40 million. If LASK defeat Celtic on Tuesday by a score of 3-0 at the end of 90 minutes, there will be two 15-minute periods of extra time to determine who qualifies, followed by a potential penalty shootout. Celtic have conceded only one goal this season in the first four matches, and under the management of Martin O'Neill, their #1 highest-winning-percentage manager in Celtic history, the odds are definitely in Celtic's favor for winning a £40 million windfall on Tuesday.
