Largest WHN Shareholder Once Owned Harry Winston

Westhaven Gold (TSXV: WHN)’s Chairman and largest shareholder Grenville Thomas owns 23.2 million WHN shares for a 16.5% stake in the company. He was previously the Founder, Chairman, and President of Aber Resources where he discovered the Diavik Diamond Project in the Northwest Territories, which caused Aber Resources to rise from $0.80 per share up to $28 per share for a gain of 3,400%.

Grenville Thomas changed his company’s name to Aber Diamond Corporation and entered into a Joint Venture with Rio Tinto to develop/construct the Diavik Diamond Mine.

Aber Diamond Corporation was able to retain a 40% stake in the Diavik Diamond Mine and when it entered production, the Diavik Diamond Mine was the #1 largest producing Diamond Mine in North America and #9 largest producing Diamond Mine worldwide. Aber Diamond Corporation rose to a high of $52.50 per share allowing shareholders to achieve a maximum gain of 6,462.50%.

The Diavik Diamond Mine was so extremely profitable that Grenville Thomas didn’t know what to do with all of their incoming cash flow!

Grenville Thomas decided to have Aber Diamond Corporation invest some of its profits to acquire 100% ownership of Harry Winston.

Harry Winston is one of the “Big 3” global high-end luxury jewelry brands along with Tiffany and Cartier.

Grenville Thomas once again changed his company’s name to Harry Winston Diamond Corp. After a period of six years, it sold Harry Winston to Swatch at a huge premium!

After selling Harry Winston to Swatch, Grenville Thomas decided to launch his own gold company to explore Canada’s largest new gold belt. His gold company is called Westhaven Gold (TSXV: WHN) and because WHN owns 100% of four gold projects in the Spences Bridge Gold Belt (SBGB) covering 370 square km, they had a lot of ground to explore, and the company wasn’t immediately a success. Luckily for Grenville Thomas he became extremely wealthy on Aber Diamond/Harry Winston and was able to continue funding WHN when nobody else believed in the company. It took several years of exploration for WHN to finally make its first big gold discovery in 2018 causing WHN to gain by 793.75% to a high of $1.43 per share within four months of its initial gold discovery hole.

WHN has many pending assays from recent drill holes that haven’t been announced yet!

The TSX Venture Composite Index is up by 0.51% today and needs to rise another 535.63% to return to its 2007 high of 3,372. Happy Thanksgiving to all NIA members!
