Wayback Machine Shows Temas Superior to 2012 Argex
Argex Titanium reached a market capitalization of CAD$160 million in December 2012, approximately 15 times higher than the current market capitalization of Temas Resources (CSE: TMAS).
If you look at the Argex website from late 2012 on the Wayback Machine (click here to see), its La Blache property consisted only of Hervieux West, Hervieux East, and Lac Schmoo. These deposits contained a measured and indicated resource of 30.88 Mt grading 18.78% TiO2, 63.29% Fe2O3, and 0.45% V2O5, with an additional inferred resource of 2.87 Mt grading 18.67% TiO2, 63.06% Fe2O3, and 0.43% V2O5.
TMAS not only owns the La Blache and Lac Brûlé properties formerly owned by Argex in 2012, but Temas' La Blache property also contains the much larger Farrell-Taylor deposit. TMAS has a total inferred resource at La Blache of 208.5 Mt grading 12.3% TiO2, 0.2% V2O5, and 41.5% Fe2O3, equal to 16.7% TiO2 equivalent. The project has an after-tax net present value (NPV) of CAD$6.8 billion (click here to see for yourself).
In 2012, Argex called its technology the CTL Metallurgical Process (click here to see for yourself), whereas TMAS calls its technology Regenerative Chloride Leach (RCL).
The RCL technology will allow Saga Metals (TSXV: SAGA) to produce high-purity TiO2, iron, and V2O5 through a single process directly from its ore material.
By comparison, Rio Tinto (RIO) currently produces TiO2 slag at Lac Tio in Quebec, which must then be further processed by companies such as Tronox (TROX), Chemours (CC), Huntsman (HUN), or Kronos (KRO).
Temas' RCL technology will allow SAGA to produce high-purity end products capable of entering downstream applications in the titanium, vanadium, and iron industries.
TMAS will therefore allow SAGA to compete directly with TROX, CC, HUN, and KRO.

In 2012, Argex owned only 50.1% of its technology, which was held by a company called Canadian Titanium Ltd. TMAS owns 100% of a much larger and more advanced patent portfolio developed by the same firm, Process Research Ortech (PRO).
