AWCM Gains 6.38% to $0.25, Market Cap Still Only US$6.65 Million
Ameriwest Critical Metals (CSE: AWCM) gained by 6.38% today to $0.25 per share. This is the most undervalued U.S. natural resource stock that we have seen in our careers. There are so many copper stocks out there trading at $100-$500 million market caps with nothing that is worth being developed.
AWCM owns the Bornite Copper Project in Oregon, where Kinross Copper’s historical non-NI 43-101 resource estimate showed about 3.2 million short tons averaging 2.2% copper, plus 0.017 oz/t gold and 0.54 oz/t silver. That represented roughly 138.5 million lb copper, 54,000 oz gold, and 1.7 million oz silver.
The Omnibus Parks and Public Lands Management Act of 1996 actually carved out AWCM’s Bornite Copper Project from the law.
Section 16 USC 545b of the law includes the following:
(8) Bornite Project
(A) Nothing in this section shall be construed to interfere with or approve any exploration, mining, or mining-related activity in the Bornite Project Area, depicted on the map described in subsection (a)(3), conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
(B) Nothing in this section shall be construed to interfere with the ability of the Secretary to approve and issue, or deny, special use permits in connection with exploration, mining, and mining-related activities in the Bornite Project Area.
(C) Motorized vehicles, roads, structures, and utilities (including but not limited to power lines and water lines) may be allowed inside the Scenic Recreation Area to serve the activities conducted on land within the Bornite Project.
