Breaking: First Mining Hits New 9-Year High

First Mining Gold (TSX: FF) is up by 2.98% today to $0.87 per share and hit a new 9-year high earlier in the day of $0.88 per share for a gain of 467.74% since NIA's suggestion at $0.155 per share, but remains extremely undervalued.

First Mining's Springpole is Canada's latest gold project to receive Federal EA Approval. The only other Canadian gold project of similar size to recently receive Federal EA Approval is Skeena's Eskay Creek.

First Mining's Springpole has an indicated 4.8 million oz of gold plus an inferred 0.8 million oz, for 5.6 million oz of total gold resources. Skeena's Eskay Creek has a measured & indicated 4.1 million oz of gold and 101.4 million oz of silver, which is equal to 5.6 million oz of gold equivalent.

Skeena's market cap is approximately US$4.02 billion, or 4.65x higher than First Mining's market cap at $0.87 per share of US$864.24 million, when the total gold-equivalent resources of Springpole and Eskay Creek are almost exactly the same.

First Mining also owns the rapidly growing Duparquet in Quebec, which has a measured & indicated 3.44 million oz of gold plus an inferred 2.64 million oz, for 6.08 million oz of total gold resources.

The closest comparison to First Mining's Duparquet would probably be Gold X2 Mining (TSXV: AUXX)'s Moss in Ontario, which has an indicated 2.125 million oz of gold plus an inferred 3.91 million oz, for 6.035 million oz of total gold resources.

AUXX is currently $9.12 per share for a gain of 347.06% since NIA's October 2024 suggestion at $2.04 per share, back when the company was known as Goldshore. AUXX is trading at a market cap of US$664.16 million for Moss alone, when it is an earlier-stage project like Duparquet.

So not only is First Mining extremely undervalued based on Springpole alone, but you are essentially getting Duparquet for free.
