Copper Hits Another New All-Time High: CUPR and GSPR Have Drill Assays Coming Soon

Copper has just hit another new all-time high of $6.8913 per pound and NIA has a short-term price outlook of $10 per pound based on the long-term average copper/gold ratio.

Copper hits another new all-time high

We already know from Super Copper (CSE: CUPR)’s CEO from their initial drill hole at Cordillera Cobre: “what we’re seeing…it’s quite exciting.” The core from the first hole was rushed to the ALS lab by itself on August 20th and they said turnaround time would be 4-6 weeks, so we are figuring either at the very end of September or early October we will have assay results for the first of seven holes being drilled at Cordillera Cobre.

Bottom line is we will have a steady stream of drill assay results for the remainder of 2026 from Cordillera Cobre. CUPR has a second flagship copper project, Castilla, and CUPR will be announcing their initial drill targets within weeks, with its maiden Castilla drill program to begin shortly.

CUPR will also begin to announce details on its material science division, which they haven’t really discussed publicly yet. CUPR also mentioned the possibility for “strategic partners” to be announced before year-end:

GSP Resource (TSXV: GSPR) is currently trading at an insanely low market cap. Even if all eight drill holes with assays pending are total dusters with no new copper/gold discoveries at all, they already have a 43-101 copper resource located directly adjacent to Teck’s Highland Valley Copper Mine. If GSPR achieves any kind of decent copper/gold intercepts, we doubt anything is priced in at all:

Past performance is not an indicator of future returns. NIA is not an investment advisor. Always do your own research. NIA has received US$50,000 cash from CUPR for a six-month marketing contract and previously received US$30,000 cash for a three-month marketing contract. NIA has received compensation from GSPR of US$60,000 cash for a six-month marketing contract and the company has agreed to extend this contract for an additional six-month period for US$60,000 cash.
